Moseley and Kings Heath win Gold in Heart of England awards

Excellent news from the Heart of England Awards in Wolverhampton! Moseley in Bloom, Kings Heath floral trail and Birmingham have all won Gold. Kings Heath Floral Trail and Birmingham will be representing the Midlands region the national finals next year.

Congratulations to the volunteers in Moseley in Bloom and Kings Heath Floral trail

Moseley in Bloom are in the national finals this year representing the midlands region and will hear its result next week. The Heart of England judges normally prefer to alternate the representatives in the national final, so Moseley in Bloom were not eligible to go forward to the national finals next year.

Winners from the national finals, represent Britain in the European competition.

The full results were:

Birmingham was awarded gold in the Large City category, was named Overall Winner of the Large City category AND was named Overall Winner of the Heart of England in Bloom 2011

Birmingham will be representing the Midlands region in the 2012 national Britain in Bloom finals in the Large City category

Tim Oakes from Birmingham City Council Parks and Gardens was awarded a Discretionary Award

Moseley in Bloom was awarded Gold and Urban Community Category Winner

Kings Heath Floral Trail was awarded Gold in the Urban Community category and will be representing the Midlands region in the 2012 national Britain in Bloom finals in the Urban Community category.
